M House Project by Architect Marcel Luchian has a very unusual and arresting design, that primarily caused by contrast: composition of used material – glass and concrete, contrast of colors – matted dark and glossy bright, the contrast of forms of two shifted relatively to each other floors. As if the motto of the basis of the architects’ design was a contrast. The luxury residence is situated in Singera, Moldavia. The interior minimalist design is also surprising by the unusual combinations of textures, light and shadow. The heating and air conditioning system are provided. M House Project will be presented at the 2013 GIS Architecture Expo Conference.

Renovation of the House in London by Alma-nac

This formerly uncomfortable three-story house, occupying the tiny site between a busy street of London and stables, was modernized by the talented architects. Alma-nac is the name of London-based company which undertook to renovate the house to make it brighter and cozy. The main renovation is a sloping roof with small windows of different sizes in it, to provide sunlight. The roof and wall were covered with gray slate roofing tiles. To open the view to the garden the architects used the folding doors, replacing old dilapidated doors. Due to the renovation the house has become cute and original on the outside and cozy inside. New Office for Ogilvy & Mather in Paris by Stéphane Malka Architecture

On the Champs-Elysees in Paris the new headquarters of Ogilvy & Mather has opened after reconstruction. The total building’s area is 7500m², so there was enough space for creativity. Especially for this project designers from Stéphane Malka Architecture has developed a modular system of transformable furniture, based on cubic elements of different heights. The main idea was to create an office space symbolizing contemporary dense city (Paris). New pieces of furniture were included into the interior of the office, such as: Inhabited Walls, Wkbench, Mutant Grounds, Wa-Walls. Contrasting colors of the ceilings and walls and unusual furnishing make office space striking and very functional at the same time. For more details you can visit the site.

‘Marine light’ Made of Seaweed by Nir Meiri

Tel-Aviv-based designer Nir Meiri has prepared a novelty – symbiosis between the artistic work and design. The ‘Marine light’ is a lamp with a lampshade which is made with use of seaweed. Today seaweed is used in industries related to solving of environmental concerns. The base of the lamp is made of a metal frame and the shade is made of thin metal structural strings. Wet seaweed, treated with special preservatives, is fixed to the frame in a needed shape. The figurative basis of the design is the marine world where sunlight penetrates through the water and plants. The light of the lamp is very special and beautiful.

Ripple Vase by Oodesign

So beautiful and so naturally a flower in the vase by Japanese designers looks! Company ‘Oodesign‘ has created an unusual vase that has a wavy surface of transparent plastic, giving the impression of small ripple on the water. To heighten the effect the Ripple Vase should be put in a container with water, to merge two substances. Beautiful flower becomes more attractive when it floats by itself in ‘invisible’ vessel. The company’s products reflect its purpose: ‘Our goal is to find a new discovery that materials and shapes create’.

Semi equipment, Semi decor: Homedia TV by Robert Bronwasser

To give to an ordinary TV a natural and more suitable position within furniture interiors, designer Robert Bronwasser from SMOOL decided to dress it in fabric. The idea was to add a new spirit into the field which hasn’t been progressing for a long time, that is, to the design of the TV exterior. As a result the Homedia concept has appeared. Foreseeing a TV’s new future role as a decor, along with modifying the material and color palette of the TV, designer has tried to change a form of an equipment too. It has a streamlined shape, passing into triangular form at the bottom. Homedia will be shown during Milan Design Week 2013.

Luxurious ‘Darius’ Armchair by Leolux

Darius is an incredibly comfortable chair designed by Jan Armgardt from Leolux. The armchair with its high back is very similar to the throne, shaped as if enveloping the user sitting in it. The armrests, smoothly flowing out of the solid mass, also give an important contribution to comfort. Together with an ottoman for feet this piece of furniture is perfect for rest and relaxation. By supplementing with a neat little table the armchair looks very elegant and chic. One more advantage is that the colorful interchangeable upholstery can be chosen for the front and rear separately. And the frame, ending the silhouette of chair can also be selected from the high-gloss chrome, satin chrome or lacquer/epoxy.

Renovated Penthouse with a Slide by David Hotson

We often do not have enough fun in our life. We used to do everything according to the rules and plans. The architect David Hotson decided to remedy this situation by turning the space of renovated 19th-century penthouse in New York City into an amusement park for children and their parents. The first and the most remarkable thing have been added to the four stories building is a silvery tubular slide, made of polished stainless steel, spiraling down through all four stories and giving an exit only on the third floor and then at the very first floor. Of course, it is not the only way to travel between the floors. There is a beautiful white staircase that offers a slower path between floors, where you can enjoy many interesting playful details, including neon furniture and artwork. At the center of the building there is a well-like four-story entry hall that brings daylight down. This penthouse is a really brave architect’s decision and a wonderful work of art.
