Renovation of Countryside Castle by De Matos Ryan

I think it should be exciting to live in an ancient tower. The architects from De Matos Ryan presented such unusual project. The Round Tower is an ancient tower in England, which was reconstructed and turned to contemporary family residence. An underground extension, designed around a fully glazed courtyard, was added to the tower where an open living room, pool and terrace are situated. There is also a guest house and garage there. The main living areas are equipped in the tower, which became a modern dwelling with four bedrooms. The roof of the tower features a viewing platform for relaxation, with a magnificent view of the surroundings where you can enjoy privacy.

House in Chihuahua – interesting geometry and modern style

The design studio PRODUCTORA from Mexico created a private House in Chihuahua. It is located on the golf course and occupies an area of 4,840 square foot. The residence was designed to meet the special climatic conditions in this region, because the difference between day and night air temperatures can reach twenty degrees. To balance these extreme drops, the house was partly built in the hillside to use the heat of the earth. The interior of the mansion is organized around a series of terraces and holes in the roof, which provide natural lighting and ventilation, as well as allow you to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Page Road House – a spacious residence by Andrew Cohen Architects

The design studio Andrew Cohen Architects from Massachusetts worked on the design of Page Road House, located in Lincoln, near Boston, USA. The area of the three-storey residence is 650 sq.m. It fully reflects the love of fine art and environmental concerns. The owner is an organizer of charity events, so she wanted them to be hold directly in the house. That’s why the mansion is spacious and private at the same time. On the first floor there is a kitchen and a main living room, which provides direct access to the terrace. Panoramic windows from floor to ceiling make the natural environment closer. The master bedroom and office are located away from the public area to provide privacy.
Sereno House by Jaime Rendon Arquitectos

Design Studio Jaime Rendon Arquitectos has completed a project of Sereno House on the outskirts of Medellin, Colombia. The mansion is situated at a height of 2.150 meters above sea level and it’s famous for its outstanding nature surrounded by forests and valleys. The house consists of two units. The white concrete one includes the social area, guest bedroom and office space, while the black stone block offers the master bedroom and office. The residence also features courtyard where family and friends could relax close to nature and panoramic windows of living area provide breathtaking views of the city below.
Unusual V-House by GAAGA

Architects from GAAGA designed V-House in Leiden, the Netherlands. This residence was called due to its unusual geometry. The roof of the house is made of wood and shaped like the letter V, that looks quite original. The upper level has a living room, dining room and kitchen. This part of the house features an open plan with high ceilings (from 2.8 to 4.1 meters, depending on the angle of the roof). On the ground floor there is a hall, bedrooms and a bathroom. It also provides access to the garden. Spaciousness and natural materials (such as stone and wood) help to create a welcoming cozy atmosphere in the house.
Euclid Residence by Balance Associates Architects

Modern design house of Euclid Residence was presented by Balance Associates Architects. The total area of three-storey residence is 280 sq.m. and it is located in Seattle, Washington. For a long time it was offered for sale and the last asking price was $ 1.295 million. The terrain on which the mansion was built is not only sloping but also full of wild vegetation and trees. From the top you can see Lake Washington and there is a national park around the residence. Customers, a married couple, wanted the house to be modern and green, as well as to allow admiring the surrounding beauty.

Canadian designer Keith Baker from KB Design has created the Armada House located designed in Victoria, BC, Canada. The area of residence is 490 square meters, and its abstract design blends harmoniously with the surroundings. The basic materials are wood, steel, stone and glass, and you feel balance everywhere in this project. The main characteristic of Armada House is the terraces, which are designed for relaxation and entertainment and overlook the ocean and surrounding hills. Getting into the house guests will see the grandiose the hall and the winding staircase leading to the living room with panoramic windows from floor to ceiling. There are 3 bedrooms, an open spaces kitchen, dining room and living space in Armada House which appear to be part of a bright story of comfort.
Modern and Magnificent House by Wessels Joyce Associates

Wessels Joyce Associates has completed a project of a house they designed in Knysna, South Africa. The mansion consists of a few blocks and has a very open plan. You can see on photos all of exterior is glassed, that creates a feeling of lightness and provides magnificent views everywhere. The interior is designed in modern style, bright colors are dominated there, but dark accents like columns, fireplaces or textiles add some originality.
