Big Bay Beach House is a true work of art by architects and designers from companies COA and Fuchs Wacker Architekten. This luxurious mansion is located in the coastal area of Cape Town, South Africa and occupies an area of 535 sq.m. The design impresses with its simplicity of geometric shapes and straight lines. Modern residence is thought out the way that you can simultaneously enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean and relax on the outdoor terrace beside the pool, not beware of cold winds. Located in the hills above Buckleton Bay, Matakana, New Zealand, the project, known as Bourke House, was realized by Pacific Environment. The architects have tried to create a structure which is minimally influenced the environment and thus would have the most comprehensive view of the ocean. The house features not only glass façade, but it was also equipped with glass sliding doors, which fill the house with fresh air and allow to move freely between the inside and the outside spaces. In addition, the house has some eco facilities: systems for collecting and recycling rainwater, solar hot-water. Neutral colors, red wood accents cheer up and give individuality to the interior.

The peoples desire to live closer to the ocean sometimes incites them to build houses on the most unsuitable places. For example, this unusual house in Australia was built on a long narrow site, which occupies 10m wide x 50m deep across the road from the ocean. The authors of the project are designers from BDA Architecture. Undoubtedly, the plot size influenced the layout of the house. The front part includes a garage and entrance at ground level, a living area is located on the first floor and a master suite – on the second floor. Two terraces provide beautiful view. Courtyard with pool is very small, but functional, cozy and comfortable as it is safely protected from the winds.
