Push and Store Cabinet by Chung-Tang Ho: No Doors, No Shelves, No Drawers

Chung-Tang Ho has recently presented his new Push and Store cabinet. It has really unique design requiring no shelves or drawers. The cabinet is constructed of the wooden beams which look like as it is filled. To store something you should push it into the black-painted piece and the beams will take the shape of the item. Push and Store Cabinet continuously changes its shape and structure with every object placed into it. Take them back and the cabinet will take its normal form. This unusual piece of furniture can be compared with the sculpture that is transformed by you. So you don’t have any extra place to store your things as well as there are no empty shelves. It is very interesting idea which looks simultaneously simple and stylish.

Meltino Bar & Lounge by LOFF: a Coffee Made of Coffee

“A coffee grain that draws the space…” – this was the idea of the designer Cláudia Costa from LOFF that presented its project of Meltino bar and lounge. The main concept was the geometrization of the coffee grain that draws the two volumes / spaces in the plan. Its shadow is cast everywhere: in the floor, walls. Ceiling, it’s dancing in the space. The aim successfully reached was to create a space inside a mall without the sense of enclosure in a confined area. This bar has three areas: two volumes and an interior esplanade, which is elevated from the mall floor. There is a light effect inside the bar because of the doubled walls made of pinewood and covered in white MDF. Simple lighting balances the atmosphere. A charismatic and unique project won’t be forgotten by anyone who will enter the mall.

This house on an island looks straight out of a fairy tale. And 79 year old Boston Architect Henry Wood is its owner. The Clingstone House designed by J.S. Lovering Wharton with artist William Trost Richards probably got its name because it “clings” to a little rocky island. This mysterious dwelling with a 360-degree view of the ocean has a certain history. Three storeyed tall, the Clingstone House has a large centre hall, ten bedrooms and 23 rooms totally.

Seashell House in Finland by Olavi Koponen – A Nook of Calmness

If you prefer to avoid crowds and dislike anyone to disturb your private life then you will be delighted by the Seashell house in Espoo, Finland from Olavi Koponen. This house is his own one and it pretends to be one of the most interesting houses at the Asuntomessut, the Architecture and Design exhibition taking place in Finland. Kotilo (this is another name of this unusual dwelling) was designed around a fireplace of which almost all the spaces of the house are twisted around. It has a grass roof and hasn’t got many windows. The Seashell house offers necessary privacy. The house is rather spacey and simple. Kotilo’s design is not sophisticated but it gives the feeling of harmony for those who like silence and loneliness.

Lotus fruit bowl by Stefano Giovannoni from Alessi

It is not a secret that the details create the whole design. To make your place bright you need something that will draw everybody’s attention. So make your house not only comfortable and cozy but also stylish and nice to look at. In this case Lotus fruit bowl designed by Stefano Giovannoni from the Italian company Alessi will be a good solution for you. This is the perfect finger bowl for serving ginger or other condiments with its beautiful Lotus flower design. The designer was inspired by the old tradition in china of the Asians and also by the cult for the lotus flower. The bowl is the part of the OrienTales collection which is reminiscent of 18th century ceramic trinkets. But still it looks very contemporary. It could be used both for fruit keeping and for decorative aims. The colour palette is very gentle and delicate. The price is about $33.

The Red Lounge designed by Sanjay Puri Architects in India

This beautiful lounge is located in Mumbai, India. Designed by Sanjay Puri Architects in the largest Cineplex (six screens) of the city it got its name – the Red Lounge – after the shiny red floor. One more peculiar is a wavy curvilinear ceiling designed in such a way for linking the different heights, and it also gives the impression that the space is larger. But the ceiling is not the last surprise of this Red Lounge. Large screens different in their height and transforming into varying hues of blues and reds are located alongside the windows to the lobby. Plastic pipe sections were sandwiching within sheets of glass to screening off the outside view of adjacent buildings. They create different moods from joyful to romantic.

Ciuri - Noble Marble Pedestal Sink by Lithea

Feel a touch of luxury with Cuiri, a marble pedestal sink by Italian company Lithea. Its design offers beauty and muscle. The imagination of some people compares this sink with a curve of the bowl to the bottom disturbed. Others see a leaf with rainfall dropping into its surface. Free-standing pedestal sink faucets paired with simple yet stylish-floor mounting makes a modern statement. Inverted L-shaped design by Marco Piva will impress you. One more peculiar is that the designer created the chic Ciuri sink in pairs for the master bathroom – his and hers, that’s why it’s needless to share it with somebody else.
