Concrete Clad Exterior: Open Box House by A-cero

Present to you one more simply awesome and unusual house by Spanish architects from A-Cero. The residence was built in Madrid and named Open Box House. As in other projects of these architects, we can see the massive concrete structure, which looks rather reliable, but it does not seem too severe. Such projects have long become something like a business card for A-Cero. The house occupies 750 square meters and has three levels. The basement includes the garage and facilities and there is the living room, kitchen and servant?s quarter on the ground floor. The 4 bedrooms and a library are situated on the top floor. In addition to house project and interior design specialists of the same company have realized work package on beautification of the adjoining territory, where you can see a beautiful garden in the Japanese style.

Minimalist Concrete Residence in Minamiyama by Tomoaki Uno

This unusual and somewhat strange house was built by the Japanese architect Tomoaki Uno. The building is almost entirely made of concrete and looks rather unwelcoming and cold. The house is situated on a sloping site and the entrance is at the level of the third floor. So the construction, safely sheltered from curious eyes, provides privacy. The house has few windows, so its interior is not too bright because of the use of concrete and reminds a dungeon. But the construction really impresses with its tremendous size, clean modern lines and minimalist as in the exterior and in interior design.

Point Dume Residence by Griffin Enright Architects

Point Dume Residence is a very unusual and spectacular house, which is interesting both for its exterior, and very bright and modern interiors. The house was designed by the Griffin Enright Architects in Malibu, where each house can be called a work of art. House construction, which seems unwelcoming and massive from the street, made of concrete. The house even resembles a medieval castle. But huge fragments of glazing, glass doors leading into the courtyard and open space for outdoor recreation soften the harsh look from the opposite side of the facade. There is large and comfortable swimming pool in front of the house, which is also framed by a stone slab.
