Original Stitching Concrete by Florian Schmid
Could you imagine soft concrete? Have a look, German designer Florian Schmid has done the impossible by creating the Stitching Concrete stools. This project was realized by using the new material Concrete Canvas which combines the softness of cloth with the stability of concrete. These stools are made by folding fabric that’s impregnated with cement then drenching it in water. It consists of cement layered between fabric and a PVC backing. Once soaked it can be manipulated for a few hours before hardening. A wooden mold supports it while drying within 24 hours. I can not but note some interesting features such as waterproofness, fire resistance, resistance against UV and durability.

Romantic Loveseat – MyApple by Fama
Are you in love? The Spanish design company Fama has created a unique piece of furniture myApple for lovers. It’s not a chair, it is neither a sofa nor a chaise lounge… The name says that the design was inspired by the shape of an apple, but, to my mind, it resembles a heart. Although this loveseat appears to be quite large, it is in fact quite compact which makes it perfect to fit everywhere. Alone or together , here you can relax, read books or magazines, watch TV and so on. So, this modern and cozy loveseat combines many features. Be romantic with myApple.

Elegant Spring Pierced Furniture by Esedra

We want to present to you an elegant and cool Spring pierced furniture collection by the Italian company Esedra. It is rather simple yet stylish. The designers used simple sheets of metal. The collection contains armchairs, tables and poufs that are either fretworked and chromed or lacquered, or upholstered in 1 or 2 colours. Each set comes in four versions: upholstered with leather in different colours, perforated with an enticing design or in the steel version for an outside garden or patio. These pieces of furniture look really fresh and creative. I guess, such as this house furnishing can be perfect for contemporary room interior decorating themes.

Modi Sofa for your own design

It’s difficult to choose living room furniture that matches both your style and needs. The unusual idea comes from Italian company Moredesign. Modi sofa gives you an opportunity to create your own design. It is possible because of foundation holes with a set of modules which could be tested in different combinations. For example, you can easy transform the sofa into two armchairs and back. It consists of plenty of cushions including back and arm rest modules, corner pieces and even glass top to make an end table or coffee table. Modi sofa is also useful, when you invite guests and want to accommodate them in comfort. Thus, your chances are almost unlimited, if you are creative enough.

Form Follows Function Sofa: All Functions From A Single Line

This sofa was made by Daan Mulder for the young talent exposition in Netherlands. This designer has graduated as the interior architect this year and his graduation work is full of organic and liquid shapes, just like this new project of Form Follows Function Sofa. The idea was to make a solid sofa where all functions and shape would originate from a single continuous line. It’s actually hard to believe that the result is welded of three bent steel plates, because there are no visible seams or they are very well hidden by finishing. We are not sure however how comfortable the steel sofa can be, but in this case comfort was a necessary sacrifice in favor of design.
